a body in motion

We all know about momentum, and not necessarily from physics. An idea can have momentum as readily as any object. In the world of physics, momentum is simply mass in motion.

We represent momentum with the lower case "p" and define it with the formula p=mv.

Dropping A 300lb. Safe On A Buick

This weekend's homework:
(1) Based on how long the safe took to hit the Buick, how tall is the building?
(2) Provide (& explain) examples of inertia from this demonstration.
(3)What forces are acting on
(a) The safe?
(b) The Buick?
